Koop is operated by Charlie Ostle, an individual based in the United Kingdom. Charlie Ostle is the data controller for all personal data collected through Koop's tools and services.

When you use the Koop diagnostic quiz, we collect the following:

  • Your email address

  • Your quiz responses and scores

  • Your assignment due date

  • The time taken to answer each question

  • Basic technical information (browser type and device, collected automatically)

Why we collect it

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • To send you your personalised quiz results and feedback by email

  • To send you a pre-submission checklist email timed to your assignment deadline

  • To send you a post-submission reflection report

  • To improve the quality of our diagnostic questions and feedback

The legal basis for processing your data is your consent, given when you submit your email address through our quiz.

How long we keep your data

We retain your personal data for a maximum of 6 months from the date of collection. After this period your data is permanently deleted from our systems.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. To operate our service, your data is processed by the following third-party tools:

  • Supabase — used to store your quiz responses and email address securely

  • EmailJS — used to send automated emails to you

Both services act as data processors on our behalf and are used solely to deliver the Koop service to you.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Request correction of inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your data at any time

  • Withdraw your consent at any time

  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk

Cookies

Koop does not currently use cookies or tracking technologies beyond what is necessary to operate the quiz session in your browser.
